Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety & Environmental activities at a critical datacentre site in Middenmeer. You will drive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support operational excellence across the site.

The role requires NEBOSH or equivalent qualification, Dutch regulatory knowledge, and proven HSE leadership in data centres or similar environments. Fluent English is required; Dutch language skills are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.
• NEBOSH Diploma, HVK, or equivalent professional HSE certification.
• Proven HSE management experience within data centres, critical facilities, construction, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch HSE regulations and ISO management systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English required; Dutch language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead site HSE strategy, policies, and compliance programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Manage contractor safety and permit-to-work processes.
• Deliver HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
• Monitor HSE performance, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch HSE legislation and ISO 45001/14001 standards.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities.
