Job summary

Basic-Fit is seeking a Data Scientist to turn business questions into data-driven solutions across operations, marketing and finances. You will design, deploy and monitor models on our Databricks platform, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and run experiments with A/B tests to measure impact.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of data science experience, strong Python/SQL, and experience with MLflow for model deployment and tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in data science.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, frameworks and packages, and experience taking models from idea to production.
• Strong skills in Python and SQL, and hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark (PySpark) for large-scale data.
• Proven experience with MLOps practices, such as experiment tracking, model deployment and monitoring (e.g. MLflow).
• Solid knowledge of statistics: hypothesis testing, experimentation, regression, etc.

Responsibilities

• Explore data with stakeholders and translate business questions into data science solutions.
• Design, develop and deploy predictive models on Databricks across operations, marketing and finances.
• Set up experiments and A/B tests to measure impact of solutions.
• Explore AI, LLMs and agents to create new value and improve workflows.

Once priorities are set, you and the PO work closely together to break the roadmap down into manageable steps and drive delivery.
