Job summary

Basic‑Fit is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to build scalable data pipelines, models and governance across Europe. You’ll join a cross‑functional team of engineers, analysts and BI developers to enable reliable insights for operations, marketing and finance.

You’ll work on batch and streaming workflows in Databricks, migrate legacy pipelines, and empower self‑service analytics with PowerBI while exploring AI automation. Hybrid work arrangement offered in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Databricks (around 1+ year).
• Strong skills in SQL, PySpark and Python.
• Experience building data pipelines and self-service analytics.
• Familiar with data governance and AI-related tools.

Responsibilities

This Is What Your Role Looks Like

You’lljoin the central Data Platform Team, working on the foundation of Basic‑Fit’s data landscape.

In a typical week, you might:

• build batch and streaming pipelines in Databricks continuously improving Databricks, keeping up with the latest technologies
• collaborate with analysts to improve self‑service reporting
• automate day‑to‑day work by leveraging the power of AI
• migrate legacy pipelines to a modern Databricks platform
• optimizeperformance, cost, governance, and reliability
• support designingdata models that are directly consumed inPowerBI

Where you can make an impact

This is not a “keep-the-lights-on” role.You’llactively shape:

• scalable data architecture (Lakeflow Connect, Databricks Apps etc.)
• AI and automation to improve data quality and usability
• self‑service analytics across the business
• the future direction of our data platform

You’llbe part of a multidisciplinary Data Platform Team with:

• Data Platform Engineers
• Analysts
• BI Developers
• Data Scientists

Together, you support almost everydepartment at Basic‑Fit, enabling teams to act on reliable, well‑governed data.

Who Are You?

Youdon’tneed to tick every box. You will thrive here if most of this sounds familiar:

• Hands‑on experience with Databricks (around 1+ year)
• Curiosity about newest Databricks features (dashboards, apps etc.)
• Understanding of batch vs. streaming data processing
• Strong skills in SQL,PySpark, and Python
• Experience building data pipelines (e.g.with Azure Data Factory)
• Awareness of data quality, governance, and scalability
• Experience and curiosity towards AI and building agents
• Comfortable communicating in English
• Experience with PowerBI or any other reporting tool is a plus

Salary: A monthly gross salary between €3500 and €5500 based on 40 hours, depending on your experience and background.
