Harnham in Amsterdam is seeking a senior data leader to own the data function, combining hands‑on architecture with people leadership, guiding the roadmap, standards, and future direction of the data capability while partnering with senior stakeholders.

You will lead a growing data team across engineering, analytics, and ML, drive governance, production data products, and collaborate with commercial units to unlock measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a data team.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Hands-on with cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience deploying data products and ML models.
• Excellent stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a growing data team and coach/mentor staff.
• Own the technical direction of the data platform and data roadmap.
• Deliver production-grade data products and ML solutions.
• Drive governance, data modelling standards, and KPI definitions.
• Partner with commercial stakeholders to identify value opportunities.
• Support development of self-service analytics and reporting.
• Contribute through architecture design, coding, and technical leadership.
• Expand capabilities in pricing, forecasting, and commercial optimisation.
