Job summary

Harnham in Amsterdam is seeking a Data Engineer to own a core data environment and build the foundations that support investment decisions, reporting and long-term growth.

You will design scalable data architecture across investment, portfolio, market and stakeholder data, define data models and standards, and build integrations to improve data flow reliability. A hybrid work pattern in Amsterdam applies with scope for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Design and build scalable data architectures and data practices.
• Build integrations and automated data workflows.
• Establish data standards, models and data quality processes.
• Familiarity with BI and dashboards.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Able to work independently and prioritise effectively.
• Experience in investment/financial services data is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess current data practices and translate findings into a data roadmap.
• Design and implement scalable data architecture across investment, portfolio, market and stakeholder data.
• Define data models, taxonomies and standards across core data domains.
• Create data integrations and improve reliability of data flows.
• Develop automated reporting and dashboards for internal and stakeholder reporting.
• Establish data quality processes, validation rules and monitoring.
• Develop data governance, classification and access controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and drive adoption.
• Continuously evolve the data environment to meet changing needs.
