Job summary

Nebius in Australia is seeking a Site Selection & Colocation Manager to identify and secure locations for new data center developments and colocation expansions. You will collaborate with engineering, finance, legal and network planning teams to ensure sites meet operational, technical, and business requirements.

The role requires 5–8+ years in site selection or data center infra, strong power, cooling, and network knowledge, and experience negotiating leases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5–8+ years of site selection, real estate development, colocation management, or data center infra experience.
• Strong understanding of data center power, cooling, and network requirements.
• Experience evaluating colocation providers and negotiating leases/SLAs.
• Analytical skills in market research, cost modeling, and risk assessment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across regions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end site selection process for new data center facilities.
• Conduct market assessments including power, fiber, land, regulatory needs and risks.
• Build market intelligence on regions, energy markets, and colocation pricing.
• Evaluate and shortlist candidate sites through analyses and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate environmental, geotechnical, hydrological, and seismic assessments.
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure site meets mechanical, electrical, and network requirements.
• Identify providers, lead RFPs, negotiations, and contract execution with partners.
• Manage colocation lifecycle: renewals, expansions, migrations, and optimization.
• Monitor vendor performance against SLA, uptime, compliance, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and authorities on contracts and approvals.
