Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Data Engineer to join a growing technology business at a pivotal stage in its data journey. You will help build a greenfield data platform, shape how data is modelled, consumed, and leveraged across the organisation, with significant ownership.

You will collaborate with architects and business teams to design end-to-end pipelines, develop a semantic data layer for analytics, and work with Azure-based solutions to enable downstream reporting and AI readiness.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience in data engineering.
• Strong SQL and experience with complex datasets.
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Exposure to Azure cloud technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in a data-related subject.
• Knowledge of semantic modelling or semantic layers.
• Dutch language skills or willingness to learn Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines.
• Model a semantic data layer for analytics and reporting.
• Work with Azure-based data solutions and ETL processes.
• Support dashboards and downstream analytics requirements.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Contribute to data engineering standards, tooling, and best practices.
• Help shape the data function's roadmap and future direction.
• Enable data foundations to support AI and advanced analytics.
