The Role
As a Data Engineer, you will:
- Assess existing data practices, systems and workflows and translate findings into a practical data roadmap.
- Design and build scalable data architecture across investment, portfolio, market and stakeholder data.
- Define data models, taxonomies and standards across core data domains.
- Build integrations between business-critical platforms and improve the reliability of data flows.
- Create automated reporting and dashboards for internal decision-making and stakeholder reporting.
- Establish data quality processes, validation rules and monitoring.
- Develop data governance, classification and access controls.
- Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and drive adoption.
- Continuously improve the data environment as organisational requirements evolve.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial Data Engineering experience, particularly designing and building data architectures rather than solely maintaining existing environments.
- Strong coding skills and the ability to build integrations and automated data workflows.
- Experience establishing data standards, data models and data quality processes.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence and dashboarding tools.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and solve complex data challenges.
- Experience with investment, financial services, venture capital or private equity data would be beneficial but is not essential.
What They Offer
- Salary up to €80,000.
- Hybrid working from Amsterdam, with remote working available 1 to 2 days per week.
