Qualifications

• Proven experience as Customs Declarant / Customs Process Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch and EU customs legislation.
• Experience handling import, export, T1 transit movements, and NVWA shipments.
• Familiarity with customs declaration software and customs systems.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with proactive problem-solving.
• Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate import, export, and transit (T1) customs declarations.
• Handle customs processes related to NVWA-controlled goods and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review shipping documentation, commercial invoices, certificates, and customs paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch and EU customs regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate customs clearance activities and resolve customs-related issues promptly.
• Liaise with customers, customs authorities, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate customs records, reports, and filing systems.
• Support customs brokerage and financial customs processes.
• Contribute to process improvements and customs compliance initiatives.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all customs activities while meeting operational deadlines.
