QuantWare is hiring a RF/PCB Design Engineer to drive the physical realization of our 3D quantum hardware. You will design critical microwave components, create high-density cryo-compatible PCBs, and develop packaging solutions for large-scale QPUs, with automation integrated into workflows.

You’ll join a team delivering room-temperature to millikelvin systems, work with KiCad/Altium/Cadence, and contribute to a hybrid setup with generous L&D support.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering with a focus on PCB design, layout, and RF/Microwave Engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on PCB design experience using KiCAD, Altium Designer, and Cadence.
• Experience with cofired ceramic boards LTCC/HTCC is a plus.
• Cryogenic Applications: Hands-on experience designing or testing hardware for cryogenic environments.
• Core EE Fundamentals: Schematics, electro-mechanical interfaces, RF layout, temperature dependent behavior, shielding, signal integrity, and impedance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Component & Mechanical Design: Design electromechanical components forming the interface of QPUs; work with the packaging team and Product design.
• Precision Engineering: Use CAD to design PCBs, chip layout and PCB-to-chip interconnect within the VIO architecture.
• RF/Microwave Design: Solve insertion loss, impedance matching and cross-talk at PCB and package levels.
• Cryogenic Integration & Testing: Design for and validate performance from room temp to millikelvin; run cooldown/characterization tests.
