Country Lead - Green Building Certification

We are looking for a Country Lead for the Netherlands to strengthen our Green Building Certification department, with a focus on BREEAM In-Use (BIU). You will lead a growing team, manage projects across diverse property types, and act as a trusted advisor to both clients and colleagues.

This is a leadership role with direct impact on the Dutch market, and an opportunity to shape the future of sustainability consulting in Europe. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely together with the international Business Unit Lead.

Your Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a dedicated Green Building Certifications Taskforce (5–10 professionals).
  • Manage and coach team members, ensuring knowledge-sharing and professional growth.
  • Oversee a all local BIU assessment projects (including large portfolios of 100+ assets).
  • Support project managers by resolving technical and management queries.
  • Ensure proper resourcing and coordination for Dutch and pan-European projects.
  • Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, client meetings, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance on BIU to both clients and colleagues.
  • Drive operational excellence: invoicing, resource planning, and performance tracking.
  • Support recruitment and team expansion in the Netherlands.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (real estate, sustainability, engineering, architecture, environmental science, etc.).
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in green building certification (BREEAM, LEED, WELL) is a must.
  • Proven experience as a senior lead in sustainability consulting or a related discipline.
  • Strong people management experience (teams of 3+).
  • Track record in managing large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
  • Analytical skills and confidence with data (Excel and ESG reporting).
  • BREEAM In-Use AP or licensed assessor experience is a plus.
