Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Construction Manager – CAPEX Projects to lead and coordinate the on-site construction execution of multiple capital projects. The Construction Manager – CAPEX Projects will ensure construction activities are delivered safely, meet the required quality standards, and stay aligned with agreed scope and timelines. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on site, taking ownership of construction activities, and working closely with contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the on-site execution of construction activities across multiple CAPEX projects, ensuring safe delivery and quality outcomes.


• Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring work is performed according to specifications and site standards.


• Plan and organize construction work, including site logistics, access arrangements, and coordination with internal stakeholders.


• Ensure permits, inspections, and quality checks are prepared and completed in line with site procedures.


• Monitor progress, identify risks or constraints early, and support problem-solving to keep work moving safely.


• Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align milestones and resolve technical or scheduling issues.


• Maintain strong focus on safety and hygiene requirements, particularly when work takes place in sensitive operational areas.


• Provide clear updates to stakeholders on progress, issues, and next steps.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager (or similar) within industrial environments and CAPEX projects.


• Strong track record of managing contractors and supervising construction work on site.


• Solid knowledge of construction safety practices and a proactive EHS mindset.


• Comfortable working in environments with strict hygiene and compliance expectations.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Fluent in both Dutch and English.
