Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam is seeking a passionate Concierge to welcome guests with elegance and care, guiding them through the city and hotel services.

You will use your network in Amsterdam to secure reservations, deliver personalized recommendations, and ensure memorable experiences during every stay. English is required; Dutch/French a plus; rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Motivated, social, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and professional in challenging situations.
• Experience in luxury hospitality; career-oriented as Concierge.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests throughout their stay, from arrival to departure.
• Anticipate guest needs and provide tailored recommendations for activities, dining, and services.
• Build local network in Amsterdam to secure special requests.
• Represent The Grand with elegance, empathy, and attention to detail.

To be considered for this position, we are looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Is motivated, social, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Has strong communication skills and remains calm, confident, and professional in challenging situations.
• Has experience in luxury hospitality and is enthusiastic about developing a career as a Concierge. Previous experience is a plus.
• Has a business-level command of English. Dutch, French, and other languages are a plus.
• Has a highly flexible mindset and is available to work a rotating schedule, including morning and evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Holds a valid driving licence (category B).

As a Concierge, you are an essential part of our guests’ welcome and farewell experience. You are at their service not only during arrival and departure, but throughout their entire stay. As a Concierge, you are a trusted source of inspiration for discovering the beautiful city of Amsterdam.

You know how to enchant leisure guests with the city’s most beautiful places and stories, while helping business guests find the perfect restaurant or make the most of their stay. By building and using your network in Amsterdam, you make the seemingly impossible possible—such as securing the last table at a sought-after restaurant.
