Job summary

That Recruitment Company is helping a data consultancy hire a Data Science lead to shape the AI & ML practice while staying involved in client projects. Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, this role combines technical leadership with hands-on delivery.

You will define vision and standards, guide projects from strategy through deployment, coach consultants, and work with senior stakeholders on practical AI solutions and new propositions for the business.

Qualifications

• 6+ years applying AI/ML to business problems.
• Production ML, LLMs and MLOps experience.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark with Azure/Databricks, APIs and Docker.
• Experience advising clients and managing stakeholders.
• Fluent Dutch and English.

I’m working with a data consultancy helping organisations improve operations across manufacturing, logistics and financial services. They’re looking for a Data Science lead to shape their AI & ML practice while staying involved in client projects.

What you’ll be doing:

• Shape the AI & ML vision, technical standards and ways of working.
• Guide projects from strategy and presales through to deployment and monitoring.
• Coach consultants and develop the team’s technical expertise.
• Help senior stakeholders turn business challenges into practical solutions.
• Support new propositions, innovation and commercial opportunities.

What you’ll bring:

• Around 6+ years of experience applying AI & ML to business problems.
• Production experience with machine learning, LLMs and MLOps.
• Python, SQL and/or PySpark, alongside Azure, Databricks, APIs and Docker.
• Experience advising clients, managing stakeholders and developing others.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
