Job summary

Bigblue is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager in Amsterdam to take ownership of the commercial performance of office fit-out projects. You’ll work with Project Managers, clients and subcontractors to protect margins and ensure successful delivery.

You’ll manage budgets, procurement, variations and final accounts, while monitoring CVRs, cash flow and margin analysis. International projects and fluent English are advantageous in our European operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial office fit-out / Design & Build.
• Strong cost control, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Experience with subcontractor procurement and final accounts.
• Ability to manage variations, valuations and CVRs.
• Analytical, commercially minded with ability to identify financial risks.
• Experience working with international projects and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, cost control, forecasts and profitability across multiple projects.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, package negotiations and supplier agreements.
• Manage variations, valuations, payment applications and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Monitor project financial performance through CVRs, cost reporting, cash flow forecasting and margin analysis.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify commercial risks and keep projects on track.
• Review contracts and manage contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve commercial performance.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to support European growth.
