Job summary

JDE Peet’s in Utrecht offers a New Product Development Intern position starting September 2026. You will run your own research project on recipe development in black coffee and milk-based products, and support the team with tastings, new recipe development, and shelf-life analysis.

You will lead experiments, analyze data, capture knowledge through SOPs, and present findings. The internship runs five months (Sept 2026–Feb 2027) with five days per week (four in-office, one remote).

Qualifications

• Academic Program: You are enrolled in a master’s program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry or Food technology.
• Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English.
• Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship, preferably from September 2026 to February 2027.
• Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including four days in-office and one day remotely.

Responsibilities

• Experimentation and Optimization: Leading and conducting experiments in the laboratory or pilot plant.
• Data Analysis: Analyzing data to identify trends and propose innovative solutions.
• Knowledge Capture: Contributing to knowledge sharing by developing SOPs and best practices for process technology improvement.
• Presentation: Delivering presentations on findings, outcomes, and final project presentations.
