Job summary

JDE Peet's in Utrecht offers a Technology Solutions Internship starting September 2026. You will conduct your own research project on new ingredients, coffee and process technologies and assist the team with tastings, pilot plant trials and data analysis.

You will work five days a week (four in-office, one remote) for approximately five months, with a monthly internship allowance of €525 and travel compensation if you lack a free public transport card.

Qualifications

Enrolled in bachelor or master program for the internship duration.
Preferably in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
Strong MS Office skills and fluent English both written and spoken.
Hands-on experience with food research activities is a plus.
Commitment of at least 5 months; Sep 2026–Feb 2027.
Availability: 5 days/week, 4 in-office, 1 remote.

Responsibilities

Experimentation & Optimization: Lead and run lab or pilot plant experiments to optimize processing methods.
Technology Implementation: Support new technologies and equipment in the pilot line.
Data Analysis: Analyse data to identify trends and propose improvements.
Knowledge Capture: Develop SOPs and Best Practices for process tech improvements.
