Job summary

The Hague-based multinational defence service line is seeking a second solution support engineer to bridge operations and development, diagnosing faults, shaping how components fit together, and ensuring fixes become part of the design. On-site role with immediate on-call rota.

You will track issues across software, hardware and integrations, keep applications healthy, and weigh architectural choices, while collaborating across teams and maintaining security-aligned interfaces.

Qualifications

Experience diagnosing faults across software, hardware and integrations.
Hands-on cloud platform experience and API knowledge.
Proven ability to lead cross-team support until issue resolution.
Background in customer-facing technical support and ITIL training.

Responsibilities

Track issues across software, hardware and integrations to root cause and resolve them.
Keep applications healthy with maintenance, performance metrics and deployment work around each release.
Weigh architectural options on cost, performance and scale and document decisions that matter.
Specify cloud or on-prem components and their interfaces in line with security rules.
Capture requirements for clearly bounded areas and keep the baseline under control.
Plan development activity, coordinate with stakeholders and report progress honestly.
Cover second-line on-call when it is your turn.
