Job summary

Silverflow in Amsterdam seeks an Experienced Security Engineer to join the Security team and own security challenges across multiple domains. You will monitor production environments, build detection rules, translate compliance requirements into controls, and collaborate to enable secure engineering practices.

The role focuses on infrastructure and operational security in a cloud-native setup, with emphasis on IAM, networking, automation, and secure DevOps. Onsite in the Netherlands is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a security operations or security engineering role, ideally cloud-native.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), IAM, networking, and infrastructure security in production.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automation.
• Experience building dashboards and detection rules, not just consuming them.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain risks to developers and managers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production environments and security infrastructure, investigating alerts and tuning detections in SIEM.
• Translate compliance requirements (SOC 2, PCI-DSS) into technical controls and evidence collection.
• Review and manage access across cloud/app environments, enforcing least-privilege and IAM posture.
• Collaborate across the organization to enable secure work and remove security bottlenecks.
• Assist scope and coordination of penetration tests and coordinate with external vendors.
• Assess third-party vendors and AI/ML tool security risks, driving improvements and automation.
