Job summary

Rituals is hiring a Staff Engineer – Cloud & Observability to shape the Google Cloud foundation and observability strategy. You will partner with Product Owners and Technology Platforms to design scalable, secure platform capabilities and pave the road for self-service infrastructure.

You will mentor teams, drive reliable delivery, and align architecture with security, FinOps, and governance. This hybrid role blends leadership with hands-on cloud and observability work in our Amsterdam office.

Qualifications

• Extensive cloud engineering and SRE experience.
• Experience with GCP foundation and observability at scale.
• Proven track record building internal developer platforms and paved roads.
• Strong architectural leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for our GCP foundation and enterprise observability platform.
• Lead the design and implementation of an observability platform based on OpenTelemetry.
• Build self-service platform capabilities and consistent tooling for product teams.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across Technology Platforms and leadership.
