Job summary

Red Global is seeking a Cloud Data Platform Engineer (GCP) to design, build and scale data-driven solutions in Amsterdam. The role emphasizes hands-on GCP work, Terraform-driven infrastructure, and strong collaboration with stakeholders.

You will mentor teams and drive quality while working on-site three days per week. The position requires 8+ years in complex systems, cloud data platform design, and deep GCP expertise, including BigQuery and Cloud Run, with a focus on observability and CI/CD

Qualifications

• 8+ years building, scaling and maintaining complex systems.
• 4+ years designing cloud and/or data platforms.
• Strong hands-on GCP experience, including BigQuery, GCS, IAM, Cloud Run and networking.
• Linux, Docker and Bash scripting expertise.
• Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD
• 3+ years of production Terraform experience.
• Expert knowledge of GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience automating cloud deployments and operational processes. Observability & data
• 3+ years implementing enterprise monitoring solutions.
• Strong Dynatrace expertise across infrastructure, applications and data pipelines.
• Experience with JVM-based applications; Spark is highly desirable.
• Understanding of data engineering and data science concepts.
• Communication & leadership
• Excellent spoken and written English; Dutch is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder communication and mentoring skills.
• Proactive, ownership-driven and focused on quality and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working on-site three days per week.
