Job summary

bunq B.V. is seeking a Head of Trust & Transparency to own the legal infrastructure and AI-enabled processes across multiple jurisdictions. You will translate quarterly priorities into clear ownership, maintain accountability, and ensure only real decisions reach the Head of Legal.

You will elevate AI-powered contract review and regulatory monitoring, building an operating model that scales without linear headcount growth, while providing clear risk insights and high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a Master’s degree in Law and strong financial services background.
• Experience running a compliance or legal function across multiple jurisdictions.
• Direct dialogue with regulators and ability to argue a legal position without a script.
• Led a small specialist legal team, set KPIs, and held them to it.
• Designs AI systems to automate legal work at scale and build scalable workflows.
• Knows how to differentiate timely vs high-quality work with measurable frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Be the layer between legal strategy and the team that executes it.
• Take bunq's AI tooling for contract review and regulatory monitoring to the next level.
• Provide the business with an honest view of T&T health to enable fast scaling.
• You challenge senior leadership with data and translate regulatory risk into actionable decisions.
