bunq is seeking a dedicated Chargebacks Expert to protect users by ensuring Mastercard disputes comply with Mastercard rules and PSD2. You will own the end-to-end chargeback process and leverage AI, automation, and data insights to scale impact and maintain a transparent, high-quality user experience.

In this role, you will optimize flows, monitor performance metrics, and stay aligned with global regulations. A fluent English communicator in a hybrid, international environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with chargebacks and payment regulations (Mastercard/PSD2).
• Strong data interpretation to drive actionable improvements.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a central playbook and end-to-end chargeback process from submission to closure.
• Define and track operational metrics for performance reviews and improvements.
• Leverage AI and automation to streamline submission flows and support investigations.
• Conduct gap analyses to identify inefficiencies and drive corrective actions.
• Optimize user-facing chargeback flows and communication templates.
