Certification Specialist (Lift/Elevators)

We are exclusively supporting a leading TIC client in the Elevator/Lift sector, based in the Netherlands, who are looking to bring onboard a Certification Engineer to join a team of 12 and help to drive their growth in both the Netherlands & German markets. This role will predominantly be focused towards technical support and certification but will also play a key part in driving the commercial function of the business.

Responsibilities

• Assess whether the product complies with the applicable directives and legislation by carrying out dossier studies or having them carried out.
• Carry out and assess product tests.
• Draw up risk analyses or have them drawn up.
• Report, explain and inform the customer of findings.
• Prepare the certification file for the purpose of the conformity assessment.
• Inform and conduct guidance discussions with clients about the content and implementation of activities.
• Make proposals for the optimisation of services, the operational execution of activities and the resources, procedures and planning methodology to be used.
• As a subject matter expert, support account management in the acquisition of specialist activities and projects.
• Draw up schedules as part of quotations and indicate the services to be provided and the effort required to achieve them (hours, capacity, time schedule, resources).
• Identify commercial opportunities with existing and new customers, drawing attention to service provision to contribute to commercial objectives.
• Make agreements with the customer about the interpretation, planning and execution of activities/projects.
• Lead project teams and guide/motivate assigned employees. Exchange information/data internally. Discuss activities, bottlenecks and developments with colleagues.
• Discuss and explain findings from certification processes and problems/bottlenecks regarding the realization of substantive contributions; usually in English. Transfer knowledge and insights during the delivery of courses.

Requirements
