Qabird is looking for a Certification Engineer in Delft to drive the energy transition through technology. You will manage certification projects, evaluating smart metering and EV charging technologies against international standards.
Ideal candidates have an Electrical Engineering degree and experience in laboratory testing. The position offers a competitive salary, a 13th month salary, and 30 days of annual leave, with hybrid working options available.
Work on technology that drives the energy transition with real, daily impact
Smart meters and EV chargers are becoming part of everyday life. They enable the energy transition, support fair billing, and give consumers confidence in the accuracy and safety of the technology that they use. Before these products can enter the market, they must be tested, assessed, and certified against the recognised industry standards. This is where NMi plays an important role.
For our Smart Metering and EV Charging team, we are looking for a Certification Engineer who enjoys combining hands‑on testing and technical expertise with project ownership and customer contact. In this role, you evaluate smart metering and EV charging technologies against international standards and legal metrology requirements. You manage certification projects from initial application through to final approval, ensuring a clear and technically robust process.
The role combines project management, technical evaluation, and hands‑on testing. You collaborate with customers, test engineers, and internal specialists. Together you define test plans, review technical documentation, analyse test results, and carry out testing yourself, including at customer locations abroad.
You work in a field where technology and regulations continuously evolve. This creates a dynamic environment that requires both precision and adaptability, offering variety in how you apply your expertise.
