Talland College zoekt een Career Guidance Advisor voor Hoorn, met HBO-diploma en sterke studiekeuze-ervaring. Je begeleidt studenten via gesprekken, tests en workshops, en werkt nauw samen met scholen, ouders en docenten om maatwerk te leveren. Het team Advice & Guidance (TAB) ondersteunt 5 locaties.

De functie is schaal 10, 1 jaar met kans op verlening, met een focus op kwaliteit en persoonlijke ontwikkeling. Solide richting en betrokkenheid zijn vereist.

Qualifications

• HBO-diploma en ervaring met studiekeuzeprocessen.
• Ervaring in samenwerking met betrokken partijen.
• Proactieve en creatieve aanpak om studiekeuze-aanbod te verbeteren.
• Kwaliteitsgericht en bijdrage leveren aan ondersteuning.
• Contacten met mbo-scholen en sparring partner voor studiekeuzevragen.
• Inhoudelijke expertise en vaardigheden voor analyse.
• Vaardig in adviseren, coachen en begeleiden van deelnemers.
• Kennis van testen zoals beroepsgeschiktheidstesten en MCT-M capaciteitentest.
• Goede presentatie- en informatie-delingsvaardigheden.
• Oplossingsgericht werken met diverse belangen.
• Ontwikkelen en leveren van workshops over studiekeuzes.

Responsibilities

• Begeleiden studenten bij studie- en loopbaankeuzes via persoonlijke gesprekken.
• Uitvoeren van beroepskeuzetesten en capaciteitsmetingen.
• Contact onderhouden met scholen, ouders, docenten en betrokkenen.
• Organiseren workshops en activiteiten rond studie- en loopbaankeuzes.
• Samenwerken met team Advice & Guidance (TAB) en locaties.

The function

The goal of the guidance provided by the Career Guidance Advisor at the TAB is to help and guide the student in making an informed choice for an appropriate (further) education. In addition, the guidance advisor supports the student in (complex) study career questions and offers overall support on the path to success. As a guidance advisor, you work together with the (new) student to find an appropriate (further) education through personal interviews and aptitude tests. You establish contact on a low-threshold basis and coordinate the guidance with teachers, parents, the supplying school, colleagues, and other involved parties. You establish and maintain contact with supplying schools and actively contribute to the offer of study career activities for incoming students. In addition, you organize study career workshops for (new) students.

About the team

The Career Guidance Advisor is part of the Advice & Guidance Team (TAB). Within Talland College, the TAB supports (incoming) students and the (supporting) education in the fields of career guidance, appropriate education and additional career guidance. Our team is present at each of the 5 locations of Talland College (Zaandam, Alkmaar, Purmerend, Hoorn and Heerhugowaard). The current vacancy is being filled for the location in Hoorn.

Job requirements

Your profile:

• You have an HBO degree and experience with/ knowledge of study and career choice processes;
• You are an experienced colleague with relevant work experience;
• You take a proactive and creative approach. You take the initiative to improve and develop the study choice offer and work together with various parties within and outside the organization;
• You are quality-oriented and actively contribute to improving the support;
• You maintain contacts with vocational schools in the area and are a sparring partner for, among other things, questions regarding study choices;
• You possess the expertise, skills, and techniques necessary to perform a good analysis;
• You are skilled in advising, coaching and guiding participants;
• You are skilled in interpreting and discussing various types of tests, such as professional aptitude tests, guidance tests, and the MCT-M capacity test;
• You possess good presentation and information-sharing skills;
• You work in a solution-oriented manner, taking various interests into account;
• You develop and deliver workshops on study choices;
• You have a strong personality and you are an organizational talent. This means that you are good at dealing with the target audience, can offer customized solutions, are able to switch quickly, and are well-versed in administrative matters;
