Job summary

Sire Search is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee CAPEX construction projects for facilities in Bedum, Netherlands. You will coordinate on-site activities, manage safety, schedule, and budget, and ensure quality from planning through handover.

The role requires a hands-on leader with 5–10 years of industrial project experience, strong contractor oversight, and excellent communication to align engineering, procurement, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
• 5 to 10 years of proven experience managing industrial CAPEX construction projects.
• Proven track record of safely delivering projects on schedule.
• Experience managing contractors and organizing construction sites.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and project control processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently in complex project environments; chemical and pharmaceutical sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site execution of CAPEX projects, aligning scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to meet safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations to hit milestones and resolve issues.
• Oversee site logistics, permits, inspections, and QA activities.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and report to stakeholders regularly.
• Support mechanical completion, commissioning, and handover procedures.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and company policies.
• Manage stakeholder communications, permits, and daily site meetings; escalate as needed.

As an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager you will oversee and coordinate CAPEX construction projects for the facilities in Bedum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, all while maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Leading the on-site execution of construction phases for CAPEX projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Managing contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to guarantee compliance with safety, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Collaborating with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to meet project milestones and resolve technical issues.
• Overseeing site logistics, permit processes, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
• Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Supporting Mechanical Completion, commissioning, and handover procedures to operational teams.
• Ensuring all work complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
• Managing stakeholder communication, work permits, and daily site meetings, operating independently and escalating issues when necessary.
