Job summary

Investigo is seeking a Dutch-speaking CAPEX Buyer to join a business investing in capital projects across its operations. You will source, negotiate, and manage contracts for machinery, engineering services, and infrastructure, balancing cost, quality, risk and delivery.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, project teams and finance to maximise value and drive procurement improvements. This hands-on role offers ownership and impact within a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3 to 10 years of procurement, sourcing or commercial experience.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Commercial awareness with an analytical approach to decision-making.
• Desire to take ownership and make a visible impact.
• Dutch language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for CAPEX projects and investments.
• Lead tendering activities, supplier evaluations and contract negotiations.
• Manage procurement activities for equipment, machinery, engineering services and infrastructure projects.
• Negotiate commercial terms, warranties, service agreements and long-term contracts.
• Drive cost reduction and total cost of ownership initiatives.
• Partner with project managers, engineers and operational stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual and supplier risks.
• Manage supplier performance and build long-term strategic relationships.
• Support procurement process improvements and best practice initiatives.
• Deliver reporting on spend, savings and supplier performance.

The Role

As CAPEX Buyer, you'll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing contracts relating to capital investments, including machinery, equipment, engineering services, plant upgrades and infrastructure projects.

Working closely with engineering, operations, project teams and finance, you'll ensure projects deliver maximum value while balancing cost, quality, risk and delivery requirements.

This is a hands-on role where you'll have genuine influence over procurement decisions and the opportunity to drive positive change across the business.
