Job summary

Surexport, a company with over 30 years in producing and selling fresh berries, seeks an organized planning assistant to support sales administration in the Netherlands. You will help with planning, stock reviews, order coordination and daily scheduling across production and logistics.

The role requires English C1, Dutch B1-B2, strong Excel/Word, and SAP knowledge is a plus. Experience in logistics or the produce sector is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or vocational training in Business Admin, sales, or related field.
• English proficiency at C1 level mandatory; Dutch level B1-B2; Spanish B1-B2 desirable.
• Experience in administrative, analytical, back-office, sales or planning roles.
• Experience in fresh produce sector or logistics coordination is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; SAP knowledge desirable.

What will your mission be, and what are the key responsibilities?

Supporting sales in terms of administration and logistics and also in Planning, adjustment and scheduling, communication, monitoring and matching of orders and sales forecasts from different production origins and purchases of fruit in general; as well as continuous interaction, analysis and reporting with commercial, logistical, field and warehouse production data, quality, sourcing and packaging.

Main responsibilities of the position:

• Review stock levels, including checking and adjusting harvests based on current stock.
• Confirm and review with warehouses to communicate orders they need to place.
• Reassess and adjust farm orders based on the harvest forecast.
• Update orders and schedules as they come in throughout the day.
• Review with the logistics department to share information about each order.
• Request production forecasts.
• Plan harvests and review the plan, as well as send the information to the logistics department.
• Adjust confirmed harvests on our daily planning sheet as each farm finishes harvesting. Analyze how the day's orders are affected if less has been harvested and orders have fallen short of those requested.
• Discuss with the materials and labeling department which orders will be labeled and delivered to the warehouse already finished from each farm, and what materials the farms will need for this. Also, discuss with Materials any orders that are out of the ordinary.
• Record information in our database.
• Check the loads from partner farmers and direct purchases, and adjust their orders and our harvests accordingly.
• Confirm the load. If it doesn't exactly match the plan, review and replan the day's harvest, and provide the information again.
• Resolve any problems or questions that may arise for the warehouses during handling, for the farms throughout the harvest, and for Logistics until at least the handling is complete.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or vocational training in Business Administration, sales, or a related field.
• Additional training in administration, customer service, or sales support will be valued.
• Previous experience in administrative, analytical, back-office, sales, or planning roles.
• Experience in the fresh produce sector or logistics coordination is considered an advantage.
• English proficiency at C1 level (mandatory).
• Dutch level (B1-B2).
• Spanish proficiency at B1-B2 level (would be desirable).
• Proficiency in advanced office tools (Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
