Job summary

Demcon invites a (junior) business developer to join QL polymers within the Demcon group in the Netherlands. You identify new markets and secure projects, building strong customer relationships and bridging polymer technology with commercial opportunities.

You should have a technical background and commercial ambition, with Dutch language proficiency and a drive to grow a sustainable plastics business. The role offers hybrid working, competitive salary and benefits.

At QL polymers, we are looking for a (junior) business developer who is eager to contribute to the continued growth of our organisation. Experience with polymers is a plus, but certainly not a requirement. Above all, we are looking for someone with a technical background, commercial ambition and the drive to succeed.

What are you going to do?

As a business developer, you are responsible for creating new business opportunities. Your focus is on expanding our customer base and further developing existing relationships.

Your responsibilities include:

• Proactively approaching potential customers and exploring new markets;
• Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships;
• Identifying opportunities within the plastics and manufacturing industries;
• Networking at trade fairs, events and within relevant industries;

In addition, you have:

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field;

• An annual salary between €37,728 and €68,616 (excluding holiday allowance), depending on your experience;
• 8% holiday allowance, with the option to have this paid in May or monthly with your salary;
• 25 days of annual leave and 6 additional leave (ATV) days based on full-time employment, with the option to purchase additional days;
• A hybrid working arrangement: up to 2 days per week working from home based on full-time employment and always in consultation with your manager;
