Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics seeks a Business Controller – Technology to guide strategic and financial decision-making for the Technology & R&D organization. You will translate financial data into actionable insights and ensure programs are delivered on time and within budget.

You will partner with Product Management and Solution Management, drive planning cycles, lead CAPEX and cost center controlling, and develop KPI dashboards. This role reports to the Head of FP&A EMEA/APAC.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in Business Control, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering in an international environment.
• Experience supporting Technology, Product Development, Engineering, or R&D is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to translate financial insights into actions and to influence at senior levels.
• Excellent English; German or Dutch a plus.
• Experience with AI solutions and reporting automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Management and Solution Management to provide financial insights and business cases.

We are proud to present that as of April 1, 2026, Bastian Solutions, Vanderlande’s warehousing business, and viastore are unified to one brand, called Toyota Automated Logistics. During this transition phase, you will play a pivotal role in guiding strategic and financial decision‑making for our Technology & R&D organization, translating financial data into actionable insights and ensuring programs are delivered on time and within budget. You will report directly to the Head of FP&A EMEA/APAC.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Management and Solution Management teams, providing financial insights, business cases, and portfolio steering recommendations.
• Drive the full Technology & R&D planning cycle, including long‑term planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month‑end performance analysis.
• Lead project, cost center, and CAPEX controlling activities, ensuring transparency and financial discipline.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, management reporting, and performance review processes.
• Support and coach R&D teams on financial topics related to product development, investments, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to continuously enhance reporting capabilities, data quality, and business insights.
• Challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to support strategic decision‑making.
• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and the adoption of AI‑driven solutions within finance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accountancy, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Business Control, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering within an international environment.
• Experience supporting Technology, Product Development, Engineering, or R&D organizations is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and translate financial insights into business actions.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; additional languages such as German or Dutch are a plus.
• Experience with AI solutions and a strong affinity for reporting automation, process optimization, and digital transformation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; proactive, hands‑on mindset with the ability to take ownership.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels of the organization.
• A risk‑aware approach combined with sound business judgment; a continuous improvement mindset and passion for driving efficiencies.

• Monthly salary range €6,500 – €7,600, with potential for growth when performance expectations are exceeded.
