Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business economics or accountancy.
Minimum 3 years of relevant financial work experience.
Hands-on mentality, flexible and a team player.
Digitally proficient with IT systems and data analytics.
Analytical, numerical and good communication skills.
Fluent in English and Dutch, written and spoken.
Eligible to work in the EU.

Responsibilities

Manage accounting operations: Billing, AR/AP, GL, cost and fixed assets, revenue recognition in visma.net.
Coordinate budget prep, financial forecasts, and report variances to the CFO.
Coordinate regulatory reporting preparations.
Enter monthly revenue data in visma.net where applicable.
Prepare timely monthly financial statements and headcount reports.
Support month-end and year-end close.
Ensure quality control of financial transactions and reporting.
Assist CFO with local government reporting and tax filings.
Improve operational and control processes; assist audits.
Manage day-to-day cash flow and timely invoicing; monitor debtors.

Job description

We are looking for a Business Controller on behalf of and in support to ATG Headquarters in Noordwijk, The Netherlands . The business controller reports directly to the CFO and makes sure that all financial processes for the assigned business unit / customer are performed timely and correctly. Due to the nature of the business, ATG operates in a hands-on and flexible attitude, where it is important to make sure customer requirements as well as internal stakeholder requirements are realised.

This position is available on either a part-time or full-time basis, with a minimum commitment of 32 hours per week.Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Fixed assets Accounting and Revenue Recognition using the visma.net financial and project accounting system;
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variancesto the CFO;
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting;
Where applicable, coordinatethe monthly revenue and accordingly entering into visma.net financials;
Prepare timely monthly financial statements, headcount overviews and other reports important to the ATG operations;
Support month-end and year-end close process;
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
Assist the CFO to manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;
Assist the CFO in improving operational and control processes; assist in compliance audits and monitoring internal controls to ensure a smooth financial operations;
Deal with cash flow on a day-to-day basis and make sure the invoicing process is performed in a timely manner and debtor positions are at an adequate level.
