Role

We’re looking for an Assistant Financial Controller who thrives in a dynamic, international environment and is eager to grow within a global finance team. You’ll work closely with the International Controller and play a key role in ensuring the financial operations run smoothly, transparently, and in alignment with the strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Support financial consolidation across multiple international entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, helping leadership make informed decisions.
• Collaborate across departments and countries to gather financial data, streamline processes, and improve reporting accuracy.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles, offering insights that drive performance and efficiency.
• Review general ledger and month-end accruals, allowances and provisions, to ensure compliance with Dutch/US GAAP/IFRS, and internal financial policies.
• Check inventory accounting and costing with a focus on proper cost absorption throughout the production cycle.
• Work with external auditors and advisors, supporting audits and tax filings with professionalism and precision.
• Leverage tools like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Excel and Blue10 to manage data, automate tasks, and improve workflows.
• Continuously improve internal controls and financial processes, bringing fresh ideas and a proactive mindset.

Skills

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting or controlling, ideally in an international setting and public accounting.
• Solid understanding of international accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Business Central or Navision experience is a plus).
• A collaborative spirit and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
• A proactive, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn and grow.
