Impactsearch - Finance Recruitment represents a fast-growing, international organisation operating across several European countries. For the Amsterdam head office, we are seeking a Senior Business Controller who will partner with management and various business units to analyse data and provide insights into financial and strategic performance.

You will work at the intersection of Finance and the business, preparing forecasts, monitoring opex and capex, and supporting investments.

Qualifications

• Master's in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in business control, FP&A or similar.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate clearly.
• Hands-on, analytical and curious with ownership and independence.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic sparring partner for management using KPIs, dashboards and analyses.
• Prepare financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses for investments and planning.
• Monitor opex and capex and advise on performance and improvements.
• Identify opportunities/risks and drive process improvements in financial steering.
• Collaborate with departments on strategic projects and IFRS reporting for senior management.
• Work with large datasets and develop scalable financial tools.

Within this international environment, Finance plays an important role in supporting growth and enabling strategic decision-making. For the head office in Amsterdam, we are currently looking for a Senior Business Controller.

In this role, you will act as an important sparring partner for management and various business units. You will analyse financial and operational data, translate this into clear insights and provide advice on the financial and strategic performance of the organisation.

Job discription

As a Senior Business Controller, you will work at the intersection of Finance and the business. You will have a high level of responsibility and work closely with different teams and stakeholders across the organisation.

• Acting as a strategic sparring partner for management and business managers and providing advice based on KPIs, dashboards and financial analyses;
• Preparing financial models, forecasts and scenario analyses to support investment decisions and financial planning;
• Monitoring opex and capex and advising on financial performance and potential improvements;
• Identifying opportunities and risks and initiating improvements in processes and financial steering;
• Working closely with different departments and contributing to various strategic and commercial projects;
• Contributing to quarterly and annual IFRS reporting and reporting towards senior management;
• Working with large and complex datasets and developing scalable financial tools and solutions.

Requirements

• HBO or university-level education, preferably a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field;
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in business control, FP&A or a similar position;
• Strong knowledge of management control, financial analysis, investment analysis and financial modelling;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at a senior level;
• Hands-on, analytical and curious, with a strong sense of ownership and independence;
