Job summary

Bugaboo Group in Amsterdam is seeking a Business Controller to drive profitable growth across the Groups commercial organization. The role focuses on revenue, cost and margin management for regional performance and Digital channels, acting as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders.

You will combine FP&A ownership with hands-on commercial insight, supporting decision-making while safeguarding Bugaboo Group's premium brand and long-term financial health.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, controlling or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong Excel skills and advanced reporting/data integrity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Fluent in English; Retail experience and international exposure are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end commercial control for regional performance and Digital channels.
• Oversee revenue, margin and cost discipline with cross-functional partners.

• Develop and monitor monthly forecasts, budgets and SIOP inputs.

The Business Controller Bugaboo Group plays a critical role in driving profitable growth across the Groups commercial organization. The role focuses on revenue, cost and margin management for clusters and Digital channels B acting as a strategic business partner to senior stakeholders.

You will combine strong FP&A ownership with hands‑on commercial insight, supporting decision‑making while safeguarding Bugaboo Groups premium brand positioning and long-term financial health.

What will you do

• Own end‑to‑end commercial control for both Regional performance and Digital channels, ensuring revenue, margin and cost discipline by overseeing:
• Promotional and markdown effectiveness
• Channel and regional margin drivers
• You are a true sparring partner for the business; have an independent view on the business and support the commercial teams pro‑actively to drive profitable growth;
• You will pro‑actively coordinate with sales teams the creation of strategic plans, annual budgets and monthly forecasts;
• You will work closely with the regional commercial teams and with product management on modelling new commercial business initiatives and product launches/initiatives, with clear assumptions and possible risks and opportunities;
• Together with the Data Performance & Analytics team you are responsible for the design of all finance related reporting, analysis pertaining to sales dashboarding and KPI’s;
• Provide financial support to the SIOP process by validating revenue translation as well as reviewing forecasted overviews for reasonability and challenging, where necessary.
• Support commercial and product management teams by liasing with Data and analytics team to drive dashboarding overviews in PowerBI which provide easy to consume insights;
• You are responsible for the actual closing and sales- and margin reporting. You clearly act as a right hand to the regional general directors;
• You are part of the controlling team, and an essential contributor towards achieving the overall objectives for the finance organization.

What you will bring to the table

• Master’s degree in finance, controlling or a related discipline;
• 5-7 years of working experience in a similar role;
• Knowledge of management control, process improvement, planning and control cycles, business cases and modelling;
• Excellent communication skills, you are able to give clear functional guidance to your internal customers and other colleagues. You are organizational savvy and able to adapt your communication styles to the situation and the audience;
• Hands-on, practical and proactive mentality with willingness to gain a strong position in the company by showing added value;
• Strong knowledge of Excel and strong expertise in working with advanced reporting tools and data integrity;
• Eager to learn, improve and grow and excellent analytical skills;
• Proficient in the English language;
• Experience with Retail is an additional asset and international exposure is a definite plus.
