Job summary

The Rebyl Nijmegen zoekt een Breakfast Cook met passie voor hospitality en een sterke start van de dag voor gasten. Je bereidt ontbijtgerechten met zorg en werkt nauw samen met keuken en bediening om een vlekkeloze service te leveren.

De rol vraagt flexibiliteit in ochtenddiensten en Weekenden; het betreft een parttime positie in Gelderland met mogelijkheden voor ontwikkeling en personeelvoordelen.

Responsibilities

• Voorbereiden en presenteren van ontbijtgerecht(en) volgens recepten en kwaliteitsnormen.
• Zorgen voor een consistent ontbijtbuffet en à la carte-aanbod.
• Mise-en-place organiseren voor efficiënte ochtenddienst.
• Bewaken van voedselkwaliteit, versheid en portiegrootte tijdens de service.
• Werkplek schoon, georganiseerd en hygiënisch houden.
• Voldoen aan HACCP-regels en hygiënevoorschriften.
• Voorraadbeheer ontbijtingrediënten en assistentie bij inkoop/entrantentie.

POSITION

The Rebyl offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Breakfast Cook to join our Kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting breakfast dishes to the highest standards, ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming and delicious start to their day. You will work closely with the kitchen and service teams to maintain smooth operations during breakfast service and contribute to the overall success of our Food & Beverage offering.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Breakfast Cook, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and presenting breakfast dishes in accordance with recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Ensuring the breakfast buffet and à la carte offerings are consistently fresh, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
• Organizing and preparing mise-en-place to ensure an efficient and seamless breakfast service.
• Monitoring food quality, freshness, and portion control throughout service.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation at all times.
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP regulations, hygiene standards, and food safety procedures.
• Managing stock levels for breakfast ingredients and assisting with ordering and inventory control when required.
• Supporting colleagues within the kitchen team and contributing to a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Assisting with lunch preparations or other operational kitchen tasks when necessary.
• Reporting equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, or supply shortages to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.

PROFILE

We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and possesses the following qualities:

• Previous experience as a Breakfast Cook, Cook, or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
• A genuine passion for food, quality, and guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and HACCP standards.
• The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A reliable, responsible, and hands-on personality with a team-oriented mindset.
