Job summary

The Rebyl Nijmegen is seeking a hands-on Steward to help keep kitchen areas, crockery, glassware, and back-of-house spaces clean and organized for service.

You will support kitchen and F&B teams, handle dishwashing, stock organization, and waste disposal while upholding HACCP hygiene standards and a proactive work ethic.

Qualifications

• Experience in a stewarding, kitchen, or cleaning role is an advantage, but not required.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong work ethic and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A reliable and responsible personality with a hands-on mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operating dishwashing equipment and ensuring all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and glassware are cleaned to the highest standards.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, storage rooms, and stewarding facilities.
• Ensuring all kitchen equipment is correctly cleaned, stored, and ready for use.
• Assisting with receiving deliveries and organizing stock in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Supporting the Kitchen and F&B teams with general operational tasks when required.
• Ensuring waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed correctly.
• Maintaining compliance with HACCP regulations, hygiene standards, and safety procedures.
• Reporting maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Contributing to a positive, efficient, and collaborative working environment.

POSITION

The Rebyl offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Steward to join our Food & Beverage and Kitchen team.
