Job summary

The Rebyl in Nijmegen seeks a Breakfast Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and present breakfast dishes to high standards, ensuring guests begin their day with quality, consistency, and care.

Work closely with kitchen and service teams to keep breakfast service smooth and delightful. We value energy, passion for food, and a collaborative approach; experience in HACCP, hygiene, and maintaining organized work areas is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Breakfast Cook or similar kitchen role preferred.
• Passion for food quality and guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge of HACCP standards and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present breakfast dishes per recipes and guidelines.
• Maintain fresh, well-stocked, and visually appealing breakfast buffet and à la carte items.
• Organize mise-en-place for efficient service.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
• Keep workstation clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.
• Ensure HACCP compliance and food safety procedures.
• Assist with stock management and inventory control as needed.
• Support kitchen colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Assist with lunches or other kitchen tasks when required.
• Report equipment issues or supply shortages to seniors.
