Bon Ton Toys (B Corp) is seeking an experienced Brand Designer (DTP) to maintain our visual identity and production quality. You will deliver brand-consistent packaging and assets, build reusable templates, and support design across campaigns while ensuring licensor guidelines are followed.
You’ll work with the Brand & Digital Marketing Manager, report to the Head of Marketing & Brand, and help elevate the premium sustainable brand in our Amsterdam office with occasional home-based days.
Amsterdam – Houthavens | 0,8 - 1 FTE | Mostly on-site | Preferred start date: asap
As Bon Ton Toys' in-house Brand Designer (DTP), you are our visual identity consciousness and ambassador. You deliver the daily stream of brand-consistent assets that keep Bon Ton Toys looking like one house, and you keep our design system tight so freelance and Design Studio work integrates seamlessly. This is a medior-level role within our Brand Marketing pillar. Day-to-day creative direction comes from our Brand & Digital Marketing Manager, while you report into our Head of Marketing & Brand.
The role combines strong DTP craft, design system-thinking and production discipline, and is responsible for the following areas:
Produce and adapt packaging and product design across collections, always within Bon Ton Toys' and each licensor's style guides. Build trade and sales materials, sell-in decks, POS and fair assets together with the B2B pillar, and support campaign and social design wherever craft-level consistency matters.
Maintain the templates, asset libraries and design system that let the whole studio — core and flex — produce on-brand at speed, so quality holds even when work is delegated.
Prepare and quality-check files for print and production, and liaise closely with the Design Studio to keep error rates low and delivery on-spec.
Advise teams pro-actively on how to elevate the brand visually while consistently staying within identity guidelines. Escalate unclear licensor cases to the Brand & Digital Marketing Manager rather than resolving them unilaterally, and pick up incoming design requests as scheduled by the Traffic Manager.
You are an experienced, designer with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in DTP, packaging design, or production design, preferably within a branded product, licensing, or retail environment. You take pride in clean, reusable systems, and you’re comfortable working within the guidelines set by brands and licensors, rather than circumventing them. You’re used to executing on a premium creative level.
We’re an equal opportunity employer, proud of our diverse team and committed to creating an inclusive place where everyone can thrive. No matter where you come from or what your background is, if you see yourself in our story we encourage you to apply.
