Role overview
We are looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator to manage and coordinate BIM models across design, offsite production, and site installation. This role is responsible for maintaining model quality, detecting clashes, ensuring standards compliance, and supporting accurate prefabrication and installation processes. The position works closely with design teams, site engineers, and the BIM Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate multi-discipline BIM models (MEP, architectural, structural) and produce federated models for fabrication and installation.
- Conduct clash detection using Navisworks or Revit and monitor resolution progress.
- Maintain BIM standards, naming conventions, data handovers, and deliverable tracking.
- Liaise with designers, engineers, and site teams to ensure models are accurate and ready for prefabrication and installation.
- Produce outputs to support offsite manufacturing, including spool drawings, assemblies, and cut lists.
- Support site coordination, sequencing, and updating as-built models.
- Provide guidance and training on BIM best practices to project teams and subcontractors.
- Maintain model quality, version control, and ensure timely handover of BIM deliverables.
Skills & experience (essential)
- Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator in MEP or building services projects.
- Strong Revit MEP skills and experience with Navisworks for clash detection.
- Knowledge of BIM Level 2 workflows, COBie, and model data standards.
- Experience producing fabrication-level models and coordinating with offsite production teams.
- Understanding of mechanical and building services systems (HVAC, pumps, controls).
- Effective communication skills for coordinating designers, engineers, and site personnel.
- Experience with Dynamo, Revit Family creation, or Navisworks Manage.
- Experience managing asset tagging, as-built models, and handover documentation.
- Previous experience in a contractor or offsite manufacturing environment.
