Job summary

Arup in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator/Manager to lead high‑quality BIM delivery across diverse projects. You will collaborate with engineers, architects and project teams to ensure model quality, compliance with BEPs, and federated models in a digitally enabled environment.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years' BIM experience in design or consultancy, a degree in engineering or architecture, and proficiency with Revit, Navisworks and Solibri, plus Autodesk Forma and CDE

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of BIM experience in design, engineering or consultancy.
• Degree in Structural, Building, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks and/or Solibri for model coordination and QA.
• Experience with Autodesk Forma and CDE workflows.
• Strong understanding of BIM-based model and drawing production processes.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and related industry standards.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project BEP alignment.
• Establish and manage Common Data Environments (CDEs) for project teams.
• Set up and maintain federated Revit models and project-wide coordination models.
• Monitor, audit, and report on model quality, compliance, and performance.
• Support clash detection, coordination reviews, and reporting.
• Facilitate VDRs and provide BIM guidance to teams.
• Promote BIM standards and improve workflows in line with Arup methodologies.

We continue to implement and develop our integrated Building Information Modelling service (BIM) delivery in order to better serve our clients while continuing to drive improvements in our design quality and remain at the cutting edge of the market.

We currently looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator / BIM Manager to join our multidisciplinary team.

Reporting to the BIM Management Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality BIM solutions across different types of projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project teams, helping to drive best practice, ensure model quality, and support the successful delivery of digitally enabled projects.

As An BIM Coordinator At Arup, You Will

• Author and contribute to project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Establish and manage Common Data Environments (CDEs) for project teams.
• Set up and maintain Revit models, including the creation of project-wide federated models.
• Monitor, audit, and report on model quality, compliance, and performance.
• Manage and support clash detection processes, coordination reviews, and reporting.
• Prepare, facilitate, and chair Virtual Design Reviews (VDRs).
• Provide BIM guidance, technical support, and mentoring to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Promote BIM standards, workflows, and best practices in accordance with industry requirements and Arup methodologies.
• Support the implementation of digital delivery initiatives and continuous improvement of BIM processes.

Qualifications

We're looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient individual with a passion for sustainable building design.

• 4-8 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator or BIM Manager within a design, engineering, or consultancy environment.
• A degree in Structural, Building, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and/or Solibri for model coordination, visual reviews, clash detection, and quality assurance.
• Experience with Autodesk Forma and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
• Strong understanding of BIM-based model and drawing production processes.
• Solid knowledge of industry standards and digital delivery frameworks, including ISO 19650.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
