Job summary

Green Teams Europe Maintenance is seeking a BESS Engineer to own O&M for battery assets from 200 kWh cabinets to 100 MW containers in the Netherlands (Apeldoorn/Utrecht).

You will manage alarms, coordinate teams, and drive the technical growth of our battery-energy storage proposition with a focus on reliability, safety and performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in energy or power systems required.
• Demonstrable BESS or energy-storage experience.
• Experience with SCADA, EMS or technical monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Manage alarms and malfunctions, coordinating internal and external technical teams.
• Analyse failures and perform root-cause analyses across BMS, EMS, PCS and battery tech.
• Optimise asset performance in availability, efficiency and degradation.
• Set up monitoring procedures and maintenance programmes, and write SOPs for incident response and safety.

Help shape our battery-storage proposition: own O&M for assets from 200kWh cabinets to 100MW containers.

Green Teams Europe Maintenance manages 200+ renewable assets with 24/7 monitoring, and is now expanding into Battery Energy Storage Systems: from 200kWh cabinets to 5-100MW containers. You will be the engineer driving that growth on the technical side.

What you'll do

• Manage alarms and malfunctions, and direct internal and external technical teams
• Analyse failures and run root-cause analyses across BMS, EMS, PCS and battery technology
• Optimise asset performance on availability, efficiency and degradation
• Set up monitoring procedures and maintenance programmes, and write SOPs for incident response and safety
• Safeguard safe working practices including LOTO and HV/DC safety per NEN 3140 / 3840

What we're looking for

Must-haves

• HBO/university degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years in energy or power systems
• Demonstrable BESS or energy-storage experience
• Experience with SCADA, EMS or technical monitoring

Nice to have

• Background at a BESS developer, OEM or EPC
• Grid-services knowledge (FCR, aFRR, peak shaving)
• NEN 3840 certification
