Job summary

MediaMarkt Netherlands is seeking a Financial Controller Specialist to coordinate budgeting and forecasting for the Benelux region. You will work with internal stakeholders and our Germany HQ to ensure accurate financial planning and reliable reporting.

Key duties include consolidating inputs, maintaining data accuracy in systems, and supporting monthly closings with P&L analysis. You will drive process improvements and provide insights to the controlling team while ensuring alignment with group

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or accounting.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial models and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting cycles for the Benelux region and consolidate inputs from stakeholders across the business.
• Ensure budget and forecast figures are uploaded into relevant systems with data integrity.
• Act as key contact for budget/forecast topics and coordinate with stakeholders to gather input and validate assumptions.
• Maintain close contact with headquarters in Germany for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to align local and group requirements.
• Participate in monthly closing by preparing, analyzing, and reporting P&L results.
• Analyze variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts; identify drivers and share insights with the controlling team.
• Support the preparation of regular financial reporting packages for headquarters, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain strong internal controls and efficient daily/weekly/monthly controlling routines.
• Identify opportunities to optimize budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes and contribute to ad hoc analyses.
