Job summary

Safetykleen in the Benelux region is seeking a Financial Controller to join the growing finance team. You will act as a strong number two to the Finance Director, owning financial control, cash collection, reporting and analysis with scope to shape how Finance operates.

You will drive month-end close, improve controls, support budgeting and statutory compliance, and partner with the local leadership and Group to deliver high-quality financial insight.

Qualifications

• Audit background with a large firm; supervisor/junior manager level, 2–4 years industry experience.
• Strong financial accounting and controlling experience (month-end, reconciliations, reporting).
• Experience with cash collection and working capital management.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and statutory audits.
• Excel and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations proficiency.
• Analytical, proactive and able to manage risk.
• Stakeholder engagement at local and Group level.
• Self-starter with structured, project-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Own financial controlling for the Benelux business, including month-end close, reconciliations and reporting.
• Drive cash collection and working capital performance with escalation to the Finance Director.
• Explain variances and translate business activity into numbers.
• Strengthen controls, standardize and automate processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and annual budget process.
• Assist statutory audit, tax and compliance with external advisers.
• Partner with Benelux leadership and Group; cover Finance Director when needed.
• Investigate data-quality issues; implement sustainable solutions.
