Job summary

Quin BV is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our small, highly skilled team in Amsterdam. You’ll own backend systems from architecture to deployment, building scalable services that power digital healthcare for GPs, caregivers, and patients.

You’ll work with Kotlin, Python and AWS, shaping technical direction with product and design, delivering with ownership and minimal supervision in a flat, fast-moving environment. Hybrid setup in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building scalable backends in production.
• Deep understanding of modern backend architecture: APIs, data modeling, system design.
• Bias toward action with ownership of delivery.
• Strong communication in a flat, no-nonsense team.
• Affinity with digital healthcare and MDR compliance is a plus.

At Quin, we're building the next generation of digital healthcare tools for GPs, caregivers in primary and secondary care, and the patients who rely on them. What you'll be doing

Own your code from architecture to deployment, you'll take full responsibility for the backend systems you build.

Build for scale and stability design and implement backend services that are robust, maintainable, and ready to grow with us.

Shape technical direction collaborate with product, design, and engineering peers to translate product goals into scalable systems.

Lead through delivery work autonomously, communicate clearly, and execute with focus. No micromanagement, just ownership.

Raise the bar apply best practices like TDD, DDD, and Clean Architecture as a natural part of your workflow.
