Job summary

smartQare in Eindhoven is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead multiple R&D programs including viQtor hardware, software, and regulatory workstreams. You will partner with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver on time, within scope and compliant with MDR, CFR and ISO 13485.

You bring a strong engineering background, proven PM experience in medtech or regulated environments, Agile practice, and excellent technical documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in a technical field such as Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in medtech or regulated environments and Agile project management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor multiple technical R&D projects in parallel, from initiation to delivery.
• Own trade-offs in time, budget and scope for hardware programs.
• Write clear project plans with milestones, deliverables and timelines.
• Maintain MDR/CFR/ISO13485 compliance in documentation and processes.
• Drive Agile practices across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Technical Project Manager | MedTech | smartQare | Eindhoven

As our Technical Project Manager, you support the multidisciplinary teams in all projects, such as the next generation of viQtor, guiding its journey from concept through development to a scalable, certified medical device product, across embedded software, interoperability, verification & validation, and quality and regulatory workstreams. You work with internal teams as well as external development and manufacturing partners.

This is not a light role: we're looking for a team player with the drive to get processes moving and see them through to the finish line. You bring clarity and structure to complex, parallel projects, while staying creative in close collaboration with our QARA colleagues. At the same time, as a true team player you stand alongside your colleagues, not above them, and get things done in a friendly, calm and respectful way in which you also contribute on (technical) documentation or other content related items when necessary. Every deadline you hit and every process you smooth out brings us one step closer to our mission: implementing the best possible care solutions for patients and healthcare professionals.

Your responsibilities include:

• Plan, coordinate and monitor multiple technical R&D projects in parallel, from initiation to delivery.
• Own the trade-offs in time, budget and scope for the viQtor hardware program - because not everything can be done at once.
• Write clear, actionable project plans with defined milestones, deliverables and timelines.
• Contribute to technical documentation and work closely with our QARA colleagues to keep projects compliant with MDR, CFR and ISO 13485.
• Drive an Agile way of working across cross-functional teams, with short, effective stand-ups instead of a meeting culture.
• Safeguard deadlines, flag risks early and elevate issues to the right stakeholders at the right time.
• Manage relationships with technology partners.
• Report on project progress and risks, and keep project administration, planning and resourcing up to date.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO) in a technical field such as Engineering, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a (technical) project manager, preferably in medtech, software, hardware or another regulated environment.
• Experience working in Agile project environments.
• Strong skills in writing project plans and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of medical device regulations such as MDR, CFR and ISO 13485, including Design Control, the V-model, Verification & Validation, Risk Management, Change Control and product lifecycle management.
• A structured, deadline-driven mindset combined with the creativity to solve problems together with your team.
• Comfortable escalating issues early and decisively while collaborating in an international, multidisciplinary environment.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• A hands-on mentality: you get things moving, and you finish what you start.
