Job summary

Catawiki’s engineering team is building best-in-class products for search, discovery, bidding, and logistics. As a Backend Engineer, you’ll work in a small, autonomous Agile squad developing scalable microservices and features across Demand, Supply, or Fulfilment verticals.

You’ll collaborate with product designers, owners, and engineers to deliver high-quality, maintainable software while exploring new technologies in Technical Week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with OO programming.
• 3+ years crafting customer-facing products in ecommerce/fintech/SaaS.
• Backend services design, deployment, and high-availability focus.
• Good API design, SQL and relational databases understanding.
• Excellent English communication and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end microservices and features for scalable platforms.
• Own quality, resilience, and maintainability of services.
• Collaborate with product designers and frontend/backend/mobile engineers.
• Improve engineering processes and share best practices.
• Refactor code and fix bugs to keep products reliable.
• Experiment with new tech during Technical Week after sprints.
