Job summary

Itproposal is seeking an experienced IT Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deploy robust software solutions in a modern Azure-based environment. You will apply IaC with Terraform, follow DevOps practices, and implement SOLID principles and DDD across the full software lifecycle.

The role requires 8–10 years in software/platform engineering, strong Python skills, and hands-on Azure services, with onsite work in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of software/platform engineering experience.
• Strong Python, OO design, and software architecture expertise.
• Hands-on Azure cloud experience and Terraform IaC practices.
• DevOps, CI/CD, and incremental development methodologies.
• Knowledge of Data Governance and Unity Catalog.
• SQL and NoSQL databases; Cosmos DB a plus.
• Solid grounding in SOLID, patterns, and DDD.
• Familiarity with pytest, unit testing, and mocking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain platform components with Python.
• Build and operate solutions on Azure and related cloud services.
• Implement Terraform IaC for automated provisioning.
• Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and DDD in architecture.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases; Cosmos DB knowledge preferred.
• Ensure Data Governance practices like Unity Catalog.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines; support incremental delivery.
• Write robust tests with pytest and mocking tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for high-quality platforms.
• Participate in planning and design reviews.
