Doghouse Recruitment seeks a Senior Azure Platform Engineer in Eindhoven to build a self-service Azure platform for mission-critical workloads. The role focuses on refactoring an ERP system, designing Azure infrastructure, and automating CI/CD processes with IaC.

Our client is a mission-critical MSP that helps around 40 enterprise clients in the Netherlands design infrastructure that's air-gapped and runs their most critical workloads. This is done through self-steering teams and close cooperation, using the latest best practices to ensure strict requirements are met. If the platform goes down, vital parts of Dutch society go down — think energy supply, payment and ATM infrastructure, edge devices, fraud detection, and anti-money-laundering systems. The core focus is the complete (re)design of cloud and cloud-native solutions, and migrations from old, legacy environments to new cloud-native infrastructure.
Beyond building cloud-native Azure solutions, the organization is also keen on open-source, private cloud. It's about 500 FTE, 75% of whom are engineers. Overall, you'll have the chance to make a real impact.
As an Azure Platform Engineer, you'll start by working on a highly complex refactor of a 30-year-old ERP system. In this role, you'll be responsible for the CI/CD architecture, designing Azure infrastructure, and automating all the processes. A software engineering background is preferred, as you won't be responsible for the core infrastructure itself, but mainly for building self-service functionality within Azure. You'll also advise the infrastructure team on (software) architecture matters, Platform Engineering best practices, and how to use IaC to roll out mostly Azure-native resources. You'll work on this project together with your team and the client. The application itself is a .NET application containing a lot of complex business logic — it's extremely mission-critical, and downtime would be severe. You'll ensure SLO/SLA requirements are met and design watertight solutions with 99.9%+ availability. The complete tech stack is yet to be defined.
€80k–€110k base salary including 8% holiday allowance. A €10k allowance for a car or OV-card, or can be cashed out on top of your salary. 25 days of PTO, 32–40 hours a week, indefinite contract, 2 days working from home.
