Job summary

ITProposal in Eindhoven, Netherlands, seeks a Cloud Security Engineer (Azure) on a 6‑month contract. You will strengthen security across cloud platforms, enable secure DevOps practices, and implement advanced controls and monitoring.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years building secure cloud solutions and strong Azure expertise, with IaC, CI/CD security, and robust networking knowledge. The role involves collaboration in a multidisciplinary DevOps team to ensure compliance and resilience.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of professional experience in IT security with 3+ years building and maintaining secure cloud solutions.
• Strong grasp of Agile and DevOps security concepts and practices.
• Proven hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and related tooling.
• Deep networking knowledge including subnets, NSGs, routing, and firewalls.
• Experience securing applications, data, and CI/CD pipelines with IaC.
• Familiarity with Azure capabilities: Active Directory, Key Vault, AKS, and monitoring.
• Experience with security monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Security Center.
• Proficient scripting; IaC automation; Terraform or similar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the security posture of Azure environments and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Provide cybersecurity expertise in secure architectures for apps, OS, databases, and networks.
• Implement and configure security controls, policies, and access management.
• Deploy and manage threat protection; respond to security incidents and escalations.
• Automate security controls and processes using security-as-code principles.
• Configure defense-in-depth and hybrid network security for workloads.
• Ensure data protection across cloud workloads.
• Manage cloud operations using Azure-native tools like Log Analytics, Monitor, and Security Center.
• Support engineers in secure CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver and update documentation on the CCoE wiki.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary DevOps team across development and operations.
